From the Desk of J. Brandt DC, FACO President, Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists

Good Morning Doctor:

I would like to review some of the actions that the Academy was able to complete this past year with your help.

    a. Grant monies provided to CCO for development of the new orthopedic syllabus.
    b. Support to Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research (FCER).
    c. News letter to announce orthopedic classes and conferences
    d. Worked with NHSU to encourage orthopedic classes (now in process).
    e. Support orthopedic scholarships with American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists (ACCO).
    f. Developed educational tract for patients of Fellows.
    g. Support to individual college research related to orthopedics.
    h. Voluntary re-credentialing program for Fellows. We are continuing to expand and improve the process.
    i. Small projects to help the orthopedists.
We continually are working with groups to inform our membership about upcoming seminars and products that may be of benefit or interest to them.

We have almost completed our new website. This will be an avenue for Fellows to place case studies on and to be more informative regarding items of interest for the practicing orthopedist. Hopefully this will be up and running next month.

Please contact Dr. Bill Valusek for information on the upcoming ACCO seminar/conference in Sonoma, California. You can contact Dr. Dana Lawrence for information on the American Board of Forensic Professionals. These meetings can be used for re-credentialing with the Academy. If you have not checked out DCeducation.com I suggest you do so, it’s a great site.

We value your membership. We are a small organization that is trying to make a positive difference for the chiropractic orthopedist. Please try and bring in a new member. Your involvement does make a difference!
