From the Desk of J. R. Brandt DC, FACO President, Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists

Good Morning Doctor,

I have just talked to the folks at CPS. You should receive the mailing from CPS to your office by next week. This is the material I mentioned in the past for office and medical supplies. Please follow the instructions on getting your account set up. Once it is set up, all you have to do is order! If you have not received this packet, please e-mail me at the Academy address on the website (dcorthoacademy.com). You can also call the Academy at 1-515-981-9654. This is a great opportunity to save money and get quality office supplies.

Last month I asked for some websites that you use for reference, I have received three that I will put in this letter. Please send more suggestions. These are sites that are helpful for the orthopedist as well as chiropractic. Check these three out: emedicine.com, spineuniverse.com and chiro.org. Please take a few minutes and send in your recommended sites. It can be helpful for all of us.

This is a call for papers to be presented at the ACCO Convention is Orlando, Florida. The convention dates are Thursday May 27th through May 30th 2004. It is to be held the Hilton Hotel, which is on Disney property. The Academy is given 1 hour for presentation of papers. Acceptance and presentation of the paper will garner 12 hours towards the 36 hours that are needed for voluntary re-credentialing. It may be a case presentation, abstract or research. Papers and/or abstracts will be printed for distribution to attendees. Permission may be requested to print your work in a journal at a later date. If you have written an article that is about to be published and receive permission from the journal, you can present the case here. It is a goal of the Academy to get more doctors involved in publishing articles. The easiest is the case study. We would also appreciate cases at present for the website. We would like to hear from you!

Have a safe Labor Day weekend.
